Organization Committee

Main Street Arcadia aims for efficient, sustainable, and transparent operations, supporting various stakeholders and projects. Volunteer roles include:

• Administrative support
• Data and survey collection
• Sponsor relations assistance
• Volunteer onboarding and appreciation
• Community partner coordination

Ideal volunteers are organized individuals who enjoy planning, communication, or behind-the-scenes work.

Promotion & Events Committee

Generate energy and excitement through events like the Saturday Vintage Market, Sweethearts & Swing, Wine Walks, America 250 celebrations, and seasonal promotions. Volunteer roles include:

• Event setup/teardown
• Welcome booth/check-in
• Vendor support
• Photography/social media
• Decorating/theme design
• Street ambassadors for events
• Assisting swing dancers, musicians, and historic displays

Ideal volunteers are those who enjoy event support, socializing, and being ambassadors for downtown.

Design & Beautification Committee

Enhance downtown Arcadia's appearance with initiatives like murals, landscaping, and public art, particularly during ongoing FDOT construction. Volunteer roles include:

• Litter pickup and alley beautification
• Planter installation and watering
• Bench/planter painting
• Seasonal décor (fall, patriotic, Christmas)
• Mural support (prep, priming, cleanup)
• Walk Audit volunteers (AARP)
• Park improvements and landscaping

Ideal volunteers are hands-on helpers, gardening enthusiasts, local artists, youth groups, and residents seeking visible impact.

Entrepreneurial & Economic vitality Committee

Support small businesses by cultivating ideal tenants, improving storefronts, and increasing merchant participation in markets and promotions.

Volunteer Roles includes:

• Merchant Ambassadors for outreach and welcome
• Collecting merchant needs surveys
• Assisting with new business openings and ribbon cuttings
• Conducting market research (vacant buildings, tenant matching)
• Supporting entrepreneurial workshops (SBDC, Biz Kids Market)
• Assisting with newsletters and communications

Ideal Volunteers are business-minded residents, retirees, entrepreneurs, marketing-savvy individuals, and students.
